REQUEST: <br /> An ordinance to amend Ordinance 17-40, the Capital Budget, by adding an appropriation to receive funds in <br /> the amont of$152,000 from the DHHL (Department of Hawaiian Home Lands), for the widening, resurfacing, <br /> and providing drainage improvements along Pua Avenue, Todd Avenue, Baker Avenue, and Desha Avenue, <br /> fronting the Keaukaha School in Hilo, Hawai'i. <br /> B. BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION (USE ADDITIONAL SHEETS AS NEEDED): <br /> This widening, resurfacing and drainage improvement project around Keaukaha School is a partnership <br /> between the County of Hawaii and the DHHL. This cost share project will improve the area around <br /> Keaukaha School to provide a safer driving and walking environment for parents, teachers, staff, and school <br /> children.
