I think the duties for that, in my own opinion and <br />2 <br />experience of what I've seen, is that the duties -- as Chair <br />3 <br />Tulang has identified -- have changed from, you know, a <br />4 <br />typewriter. Carbon copies used to -- I tell my kids carbon <br />5 <br />copies, they look at me like, “Dad, what are you saying?” <br />6 <br />So, although those functions changed -- you know, <br />7 <br />now it's word processing and the like -- I think what's <br />8 <br />really the meat or the crux of the issue is the salary, you <br />9 <br />know, specific salary associated with the clerk position. <br />10 <br />And, like I alluded to earlier, those salaries have not <br />11 <br />increased significantly, you know, in comparison to maybe <br />12 <br />entry-level positions of other bargaining units. <br />13 <br />And you know, there has been -- you know, we have <br />14 <br />looked at it -- and those are discussions that, you know, have <br />15 <br />been ongoing and I'm sure continue to take place moving <br />16 <br />forward. I don't want to tip our hand because we're opening <br />17 <br />negotiations with HGEA in a month or two. <br />18 <br />CHR. TULANG: Right. It's a bigger animal to deal <br />19 <br />with because it's a whole class. <br />20 <br />MS. NAMAHOE: I'd like to ask a question. First of <br />21 <br />all, mahalo to you for your report. And you mention that <br />22 <br />there are people in Human Resources.
