6.8. Every person who is provided a parking permit pursuant to these <br /> regulations shall: <br /> a) Maintain a valid driver's license during the life of the permit; <br /> b) Possess a current certificate of registration for all motor vehicles <br /> covered by the permit; and <br /> c) Maintain no-fault Insurance for all motor vehicles covered by the <br /> permit. <br /> 6.9. Violations of the conditions under which the permit is issued, falsification <br /> of requested information, the cancellation or the expiration of licensing, <br /> registration and insurance requirements, or nonpayment of the required <br /> parking fee for more than 30 days shall result in the cancellation of the <br /> permit. <br /> 6.10. Nothing in these regulations shall be construed to supercede or <br /> supplant existing state and county laws regarding the operation of motor <br /> vehicles. All applicable state and county laws may be enforced by the <br /> appropriate law enforcement agency. <br /> 7. ENFORCEMENT <br /> These regulations shall be enforced by employee(s) of the Department of <br /> Public Works who are duly deputized, pursuant to Chapter 24-202.2 and 24- <br /> 202.3 of the Hawaii County Code. Hours of enforcement shall be during the <br /> hours of operation for the facility, or as designated by the Director of Public <br /> Works. <br /> 8. VIOLATIONS AND PENALTIES <br /> 8.1. A vehicle parked in an expired metered stall or a vehicle parked in <br /> excess of the specified time limit shall receive citation(s) and fine(s) as <br /> stated in the provisions of Chapter 24 of the Hawaii County Code. In <br /> addition, a vehicle in violation of the above ordinances may be subject to <br /> removal as provided in the General Rules, Section 6 of these regulations. <br /> 8.2. A vehicle parked in a prohibited or unauthorized parking area, or without <br /> proper decals, permits, or placards shall receive citation(s) and fine(s) as <br /> stated in the provisions of Chapter 24 of the Hawaii County Code. In <br /> addition, a vehicle in violation of the above may be subject to removal as <br /> provided in the General Rules, Section 6 of these regulations. <br /> 8.3. Persons committing violations of this section other than as specified in <br /> subsections 8.1 and 8.2 may be fined for each violation. In addition, the <br /> 14 of 16 <br />
