CLARKSON: Let me follow up does the County in this case have any influence or could they
have any influence over what color the manufactured antenna would come to the site with or in
the case of microwave reflectors the protective covers that go over them and those colors be
chosen. I've seen some that quite garish and we're just wondering what your choices are.
DIETRICK: Okay, typically for the long antennas for the Land Mobile Radio (LMR) radio
system they are going to be white and would be a long face twenty (20) foot long whip antenna
for the microwave dishes typically the dishes come in a standard gray and the radome covers can
be ordered in a few colors. I would say gray and white are typically what you see.
CLARKSON: I just like to see " "wherever possible " " ordering covers and antennas in the
same color
REPLOGLE: Excuse me, Commissioner Clarkson you were cutting out Commissioner
Clarkson.
CLARKSON: Okay, I'm sorry, I'll repeat. I'm just asking I'm going to vote in favor of a
motion to approve but I'd just like to make a request that Public Works and whoever the
consultants are on the antennas attempt to get colors that match the tower kind of in the spirit of
Condition 6.
REPLOGLE: Thank you Mr. Clarkson. Mr. Aguinaldo, did you have something?
AGUINALDO: Yes, I have a question for Fire Chief Perreira. My question for Fire Chief
Perreira is that we have only 4 consoles for dispatch on the Fire Department side. I presume
that's the one on the bottom of Ponahawai at that Central Station and my question is that our
main dispatch center or does west side also have one?
PERREIRA: Commissioner Aguinaldo that is our main, we only have that one and like Major
Burian said our backup is at Civil Defense. I'm going to have to apologize not to alarm anyone
but we did receive a tsunami watch so I'm going to be leaving this meeting and I'm going to be
heading over to the Civil Defense Center as we speak so, I'm going to be leaving now unless
anybody else has any questions for me.
REPLOGLE: Mr. Clarkson?
CLARKSON: Yeah, I did have one more question and it does relate to Civil Defense. Is there
some reason why Civil Defense is not being included in this central location with other
emergency services? We think that would be a natural that Civil Defense should be in the same
building as Fire and Police.
PERREIRA: Yes, so, actually there is some talks of Civil Defense, there was in Mayor Kim's
administration he proposed to remove a part of the Master Plan was a warehouse center for us
there and so there was a proposal for the warehouse to be removed from there and a Civil
Defense Center built that had an interconnecting walkway. You can check with DPW, but I
believe that would be like a Phase 2, Phase I would be Police and Fire at this time. The current
8
EXHIBIT B
