Civil Defense I believe had some planned renovations and so I think they are moving forward
with those planned renovations and I think they're currently okay with their current location.
But I think future they are looking at possibly moving forward with Civil Defense being added to
this project.
AGUINALDO: Mr. Commissioner, I have another question.
REPLOGLE: Go ahead Mr. Aguinaldo.
AGUINALDO: This is for all and I want everybody listen up. Like what Fire Chief Bobby
Perreira indicated tsunami. If we all look at Central location Fire Department and their dispatch
center let's think about it, it's in a tsunami zone. To me, it's that I look at a five (5) acre parcel
on the new proposed plan including consultants. How many of open space do we have behind
the mechanical enclosure, emergency generator are we potentially will utilize that area possibly
for our Central Fire Station. Now, if one moves they should move besides that our Police Station
is up on the hill, great, they're kind of safe and Civil Defense is on the bottom. But, what
concerns me is removing our dispatch, Fire dispatch they serve the entire island for Fire but
Central Fire Station remains there. Is there enough room future plans for our Central Fire Station
to move up? That's my big question right there. If anybody can answer.
PERREIRA: I have an answer to that question Commissioner Aguinaldo. A part of the initial
Master Plan for that site was to build a Fire Station at that site also and a Fire Administration.
Now, I'm just speaking at what was the initial Master Plan our current administration or past
administration and now our current administration will need to make that final decision on if that
can move forward and obviously everything comes at a cost. So, there is some plans if you look
at the Master Plan for that parcel there is a Fire Administration Center, a Fire Station all future, a
future museum, there's a warehouse and a covered training area. So, there is a good plan but it is
susceptible to any decisions from the administration, Fire Administration and also the Mayor's
team so and the County administration. So, if no other questions I do need to leave, I'm going to
AGUINALDO: Thank you.
PERREIRA: head over to Civil Defense. Thank you, guys.
REPLOGLE: Thank you Chief
AGUINALDO: Thank you.
REPLOGLE: Perreira.
KERN: Mr. Chair, Zendo here.
REPLOGLE: Yes.
9
EXHIBIT B
