Hualalai Deepwell History and Repair Status Information Sheet <br /> <br />Department of Water Supply logo. <br /> <br />DEPARTMENT OF WATER SUPPLY, COUNTY OF HAWAI`I, <br />345 KEKŪANAŌ`A STREET, SUITE 20, HILO, HAWAI`I , 96720, TELEPHONE (808) 961-8050, FAX (808) 961-8657. <br /> <br />January 26, 2018 <br /> <br />HUALĀLAI DEEPWELL HISTORY AND REPAIR STATUS INFORMATION SHEET. <br />Information Sheet. <br /> <br />Overview, <br />Hualālai Deepwell consists of a pump and motor which can produce approximately 1,050 gallons per minute. The pumping <br />unit is housed in an 18” well casing, which is approximately 1,700 feet deep. The pump bowl diameter is 11-3/4” and the <br />pump is approximately 18 feet long. The motor is a 4-Pole, 600 horsepower, 4,160-volt submersible motor. The motor <br />diameter is 16-1/8” and it is approximately 21 feet long. <br /> <br />Prior History, <br />Designed and built in September 1997, Hualālai Deepwell has undergone repair five (5) times prior to this most recent repair. <br /> <br />Current Repair Status, <br />Hualālai Deepwell tripped offline early October 2017. The Department is planning to install a slim-line type pump and motor <br />assembly with a shroud in this well. Repair bid is in process with a scheduled bid opening date of February 15th. <br /> <br />Conservation Information, <br />A Water Conservation Notice requests that customers voluntarily reduce their water consumption by 10%. The Water Conservation Notice can be found on our website, www.hawaiidws.org.
