The Agricultural Lands of Importance to the State of Hawaii ("ALISH") classification <br /> system classifies a portion of the Project Area as "Other Important Agricultural Land." Other <br /> Important Agricultural Land, is land that is not classified as Important Agricultural Land, or <br /> Other Agricultural Land that is used for state or local agricultural production. This <br /> classification of land is disqualified from the other classifications because the land may show <br /> signs of seasonal wetness, erodibility, limited rooting zone, flooding or prone to drought. <br /> This classification of agricultural land generally requires more care or resources to produce <br /> agricultural products. <br /> Figure 3:ALISH Map <br /> Hawail <br /> Unique <br /> Agricultural Land <br /> 0 150 30f <br /> Feet <br /> 4. PROJECT DESCRIPTION <br /> 4.1 Hi`ialo/Captain Cook Learning Center <br /> The proposed Project Area will be renovated into a learning center for preschool <br /> students and the community. The Hi`ialo/Captain Cook Learning Center will provide two KS <br /> Na Kula Kamali`i (NKK) preschool classrooms and two community preschool classrooms. <br /> There will also be administration offices, a community program space classroom, and <br /> storage spaces. The proposed project will provide a new parking lot on Parcel 14 and an <br /> exterior playground. <br /> 6 <br />
