The City and County of __ ; <br /> " wra. <br /> Honolulu (CCH), owner and operator of the Honouliuli Wastewater Treatment -,. .. . <br /> Plant (WWTP), acquired the 48-acre parcel of land to expand their secondary - -;, - * <br /> treatment operations. In preparation for the proposed construction, E2 <br /> completed a Phase I ESA in 2016 to identify potential environmental issues , .• �.{ ` r A" , .-', <br /> which may impede construction activities on the newly acquired parcel. ' { " `,. <br /> The Phase II ESA scope of work was performed to evaluate the ' •' <br /> presence/absence and nature of contamination on the site based on relevant - <br /> findings of the Phase I ESA. Phase II ESA activities were also conducted in the s <br /> vicinity of an abandoned Navy fuel line located on the adjacent Honouliuli .. <br /> WWTP site, parallel to Geiger Road, where portions of the abandoned fuel line ``- "' . <br /> will be removed during the construction of a drainage basin. Based on the Phase II ESA sample results and <br /> observations made during the investigation, E2 concluded the following. <br /> Subject Property: <br /> Lead and arsenic were detected in the surface (lead) in the decision unit (DU-9) (dump site) and near-surface <br /> (arsenic) soils at boring B9 on the subject property at concentrations exceeding HDOH Tier 1 EALs.
