HOUSEL: Right there, okay. <br /> <br />MELROSE: So what they are saying is -. This is the entrance thatÓs there today into <br />the elementary school; so we are just coming back along, thatÓs about there, thatÓs the sidewalk <br />improvement, walking improvements, lights as required. <br />HOUSEL: Okay, now, is there another entrance to where the warehouse is right now? <br />MELROSE: Yeah, it comes off of KapiÒolani right there. <br />HOUSEL: Okay. Is that -? It looks like a wider-than-usual roadway. Is that a <br />parking area there? <br />MELROSE: You know, itÓs a really warehouse, or a loading dock, so itÓs elevated for <br />loading and unloading; it was built by the military so thereÓs a lot of, you know, heavy stuff that <br />came in and went from there, and there is access in and off of b <br /> <br />STURGES: But we donÓt want to use that as a parking lot and/or access to the school. <br />All I need is access for my maintenance vehicles to use the warehouse. <br /> <br />MELROSE: And then the access will be internal this way, right? <br /> <br />STURGES: Yeah, thatÓs why there is a sidewalk out to there. <br /> <br />HOUSEL: Okay. Now you are planning, in your plan you plan to convert the <br />warehouse to classrooms? <br />STURGES: A portion of it. A portion would make a great studio or space. <br />HOUSEL: And where will parking be for that building? <br />STURGES: It will be in the main parking lot. <br />HOUSEL: In which parking lot? <br />STURGES: It will be in the main parking lot over by the middle school. <br />HOUSEL: Okay. So there is not any parking intended adjacent to the warehouse? <br />STURGES: No, sir. <br />HOUSEL: Okay. <br />MELROSE: I think itÓs likely to say that there will -. The schoolÓs use would not <br />necessarily generate that need. There may be others that -. But the parking is not intended to go <br />on KapiÒolani Street.
