Tetra Tech <br /> Planning,Hawaii developed a profile of Hawai'i's Coastal Nonpoint Pollution Control Program, and incorporated Hawaii's <br /> State Coastal HawaiiWatershed management measures and practices designed to control runoff from six main sources into the Guide.A <br /> Zone Guidance needs assessment was conducted through interviews with individuals from selected watershed planning 2009 to 2010 <br /> Management organizations to identify obstacles and challenges in watershed planning, and to define areas that may <br /> (CZM)Program require more focused attention in the Handbook.Tetra Tech prepared draft and final versions of the guidance <br /> for review by the Hawaii Coastal Zone Management Program,Department of Health,and other stakeholders <br /> and prepared an outreach strategy to disseminate the Guidance throughout Hawaii. <br /> Tetra Tech compiled and reviewed information and data on coastal and marine resources in the area and <br /> DBEDT,Office of Federal, State and County laws, regulations, and policies related to watershed and coastal resource <br /> Planning,Hawaii Wai'anae Ecological management. Scope included conducting interviews with community members; organizing partners group 2003 to 2004 <br /> State CZM Characterization meeting to solicit data and information for the development of the WEC;preparing all sections of the WEC; <br /> Program and developing recommendations for a moku management framework for improved implementation of <br /> ahupua'a management initiatives. <br /> DBEDT,Office of Hawai Ocean Tetra Tech compiled and reviewed information and data. Scope included: meeting with state and county <br /> Planning,Hawaii Resource agencies to identify management priorities and lead agencies; developing innovative framework to reflect <br /> State CZM Management Plan management goals and strategic actions;preparing draft and final versions of the Hawaii Ocean Resources 2005 to 2006 <br /> Program Update Management Plan incorporating comments from multiple agencies and organizations; preparing public <br /> comment summary. <br /> DBEDT,Office of Development of a Tetra Tech conducted literature review on traditional management systems and practices; characterized <br /> Planning,Hawaii Moku Management existing legal and institutional frameworks for natural resource management;and developed a framework for 2007 <br /> State CZM Framework for the moku management that integrates traditional and contemporary principles and best practices in managing <br /> Program State of Hawaii watersheds and coastal resources. <br /> Tetra Tech reviewed numerous DOH, CZM DLNR, and other relevant documents in the development of <br /> Hawaii Community guiding principles for an integrated planning framework for place-based, culture-based, and community- <br /> DBEDT,Office of Stewardship Project- based approaches to natural and cultural resources management. Developed and conducted island-wide <br /> Planning,Hawaii Community Based survey of community stewardship organizations focused on understanding successes,obstacles and needs 2007 to 2008 <br /> State CZM Resource of these groups to develop means for the state to enhance these efforts. Conducted a meeting of 37 <br /> Program Management community groups and 13 federal,state and county program managers and staff to provide feedback and <br /> (CRBM) improve collaboration in natural and cultural resource management.Incorporated public input from the survey <br /> and meeting into a Community Stewardship Directory and Integrated Planning Framework Report. <br /> Hazardous Waste Tetra Tech developed a Hazardous Waste Management Plan(HWMP)for the Hawaii Air National Guard <br /> Hawaii Air Management and (HIANG).The plan covered the primary operations located at Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam(JBPHH)as <br /> National Guard Inspections,Big well as at four geographically separated units(GSUs)located throughout the Hawaiian islands.The draft plan 2007 to 2009 <br /> Island,Maui,Oahu, included streamlined management actions for all HIANG units, including the operations as a tenant on <br /> HI JBPHH to the U.S.Navy,and independent operations of the GSUs. <br /> PAGE 21 <br />
