REASON FOR INCREASE IN LICENSED PREMISES: Applicant would like to permanently expand its current licensed premises to include an adjacent unit, specifically 104 Keawe Street, consisting of approximately 1, 200 square feet to include an area for live entertainment, dancing, additional dining, employee restroom and an area for retail sales for Applicant's merchandise and non-alcoholic kombucha. REASON FOR CHANGE IN CATEGORY TO B2: Applicant currently has a Category B 1 (a premises in which recorded music and live entertainment is permitted), however, would like to change its Category to B2 (a premises in which recorded music, live entertainment and dancing are permitted) to allow for dancing. APPLICANT: The applicant, Big Island Booch, Inc., is a domestic profit corporation, registered with the Department of Commerce and Consumer Affairs, State of Hawaii, on January 14, 2014. PENDING APPLICATION FOR LIQUOR LICENSE: Under Application 25-01, Applicant is concurrently applying for the following: • Small Craft Producer Pub license, Category A, located at 230 Kekuanaoa Street, Hilo. o This location will be for manufacturing/bottling only. Applicant does not plan to conduct retail sales to the public or on -premises consumption at this location. DETAILS OF THE PROPOSED INCREASE IN LICENSED PREMISES: Applicant will be expanding its current licensed premises to include an adjacent unit, specifically 104 Keawe Street, consisting of approximately 1, 200 square feet. The interior will consist of an area for live entertainment, dancing, additional dining, employee restroom and an area for retail sales for Applicant's merchandise and non-alcoholic kombucha. Applicant is currently working on obtaining permits with the Department of Public Works, Building Division, to internally connect the proposed increase in licensed premises to its current licensed premises.
