Kitajima—President, PICHTR <br /> With over 35 years of experience in technology commercialization, business development, and <br /> community innovation, Ian is nationally recognized for his role in bringing design thinking, computer <br /> science, Artificial Intelligence, and STEM education into Hawai'i's public schools. As Co-founder and Lead <br /> Co-facilitator of Design Thinking Hawai'i, he has supported the training of educators, administrators, and <br /> students across the state, embedding human-centered problem-solving and now Artificial Intelligence, <br /> into classrooms and education policy. <br /> Keith T. Matsumoto, DBA—Program Director, PICHTR <br /> Keith brings decades of executive leadership in applied research, program management, and <br /> organizational development. As Co-founder and Administrator of Design Thinking Hawai'i, he has <br /> worked directly with public schools to promote innovative teaching methods, curriculum integration, <br /> and workforce development initiatives. His extensive background includes senior management roles at <br /> various commercial and utility organizations, and leadership positions at PICHTR, where he has overseen <br /> large-scale STEM, technology, and education-related projects. Dr. Matsumoto is a lifetime member of <br /> the American Society of Civil Engineers, member of the National Contract Management Association <br /> (NCMA), Advisor to the Aloha Chapter of NCMA, and former chair and member of the State <br /> Procurement Board. <br /> 3.
