Urgent Services Directory <br />E. Takazawa reported she distributed three directories to Bay Clinic. She <br />suggested that a packet of the directory be distributed to Kona Hospital which <br />M. Masunaga offered to take care of. C. Kitaoka would like two packets for her <br />office in Kona. <br />2. First Female Booklet <br />Tabled. <br />3. Essay Contest <br />C. Kitaoka reported that the deadline to submit essays is December 15. She has <br />received commitment from ten judges: East Hawaii judges are Julie Tulang, <br />Jeanie Whittington, Lisa Faulkner-Inouye, Nikol Calderon, and Dawn Pung. <br />West Hawaii judges are Barbara Kossow, Kathy Peters, Margaret Masunaga, <br />Maile David, and Brenda Ford. <br />During the winter break, three or four girls will do the 300-word count for each <br />essay. <br />C.KitaokawillfinalizethemenuwithDarnellCaravalho,Weddings&Special <br />Events Manager of Mauna Kea Resort. The awards luncheon is scheduled for <br />Sunday,March4,2007,from10:30a.m.to1:30p.m.attheMaukaSalonatthe <br />Hapuna Beach Prince Hotel. <br />4. Mentoring <br />M. Masunaga reported that she will do a follow up on the girls mentoring project <br />in January or February 2007 with the Konawaena High School girls. <br />5. Hawaii County Womens Hall of Fame <br />C.Ka-iporeportedthatCSWexpendedapproximately$3,130.33fromabudget <br />of $3,449. K. Peters did a wonderful job on the awards.
