Masunaga and she hasnt heard back <br />from Washington Mutual yet. <br />P. Newland reported that her second annual €From Buds to Flowers-Growing <br />Girls to Ladies program will be held on Wednesday, September 22, at the Pahoa <br />High and Intermediate School cafeteria. She also invited Governor Linda Lingle <br />to be a guest speaker and to be a mentor. This program is also part of Womens <br />Health Month. <br />E. Takazawa asked whether P. Newland had a budget for this event since she <br />never seen one. E. Takazawa said she made the budget for the Womens <br />Health Month grant and estimated P. Newlands cost to be included in this <br />budget. P. Newland said she was under the impression that E. Takazawa made <br />the budget and it was already done. She didnt know she had to come up witha <br />budgetforhereventthisyearandshewasconfusedaboutthis.However, <br />P. Newland will prepare a budget as soon as possible. <br />5. Hawaii County Womens Hall of Fame ‚ Dinner <br />D. Pung read the email that L. Guluzzy sent to J. Viernes regarding the dinner to <br />be held on December 11, 2004 honoring six women from our island for their <br />accomplishments and their status as role models in our communities. <br />CSW members expressed concerns about the date, cost, time frame, and budget <br />of the event scheduled for December 11, 2004. Therefore, CSW members <br />suggested compiling a list of questions for L. Guluzzy to address at the next <br />meeting. <br />1. Concerns regarding the dinner cost - can it be negotiated for a more <br />affordablepricesothatfamiliescanattendtohonortheirnominee?Itis <br />during the holiday season and money may be tight for them. <br />2. Committee members were under the impression that the dinner was going to <br />beheldinJune2005.Howwasthedateselected?Thereisconcernthatthe <br />holiday season may overshadow the program and the dinner. <br />3.Is there enough of a time line to get this together?
