be used in lieu of the fullway valve as its isolating shutoff valve. <br />In such an installation, the supply riser shall be properly located <br />and provided with an accessible fullway valve at the foot or the top <br />of the riser so that the valves will isolate not more than twenty <br />dwelling units. The fixture supply stop shall be an angle valve or <br />stop, straightway stop, screw stop, ball valve, corporation cock, <br />butterfly valve, plug valve or similar valve. Valves shall not have <br />slip joints on the valve inlet side." <br />(41) Adding Section 606.2.4. Section 606.2.4 is added to read: <br />"606.2.4 Copper or Copper -Alloy Tubing to Galvanized Steel <br />Pipe. Joints between copper or copper -alloy tubing and galvanized <br />steel pipe shall be made with a brass converter fitting or dielectric <br />fitting. The copper tubing shall be soldered to the fitting in an <br />approved manner, and the fitting shall be screwed to the threaded <br />pipe. No dielectric fittings shall be located below grade unless <br />approved by the administrative authority and they shall be wrapped <br />as provided under Section 609.3.1." <br />(42) Amending Section 607.0. Section 607.0 is amended by adding at the end of the last <br />sentence: <br />"or other approved method with approval of the administrative <br />authority." <br />(43) Adding Section 607.1. Section 607.1 is added to read: <br />"607.1 No gravity tank shall be directly connected to the city <br />water main, but shall be provided with an over - the - rim - tiller, the <br />orifice or outlet of which must be elevated a distance of six (6) <br />inches (152.4 mm) above the overflow. A drain shall be provided <br />at the bottom of the tank." <br />(44) Amending Section 608.1. Section 608.1 is amended by adding a new sentence at the <br />end to read: <br />"The tank and pump installations shall be in accordance with <br />provisions of Sections 603 and 607 of this Code and with pertinent <br />rules and regulations of the health officer, the board of water <br />supply or any other department having jurisdiction." <br />23 <br />
