Class & Senior Club Happenings... <br /> <br />A two-day workshop was held at the Kea‘au Learning Center where 28 students were taught <br />pelt-feather leis from instructor Doreen Henderson. Students Denise Keli‘i Aunty Doreen <br />and BJ Pang Ching are wearing hats adorned with their pelt-feather lei. <br /> <br />RYTHYM & LIFE <br />Our Rhythm & Life exercise program has grown with 2 more certified instructors, Ginger Ikeda <br />and Laverne Daimaru, as they performed exercises before President Toyoda, Matsumoto <br />and Saito Sensei of Japan. <br /> <br />(L-R) Pres. Toyoda, June Amasaki (Instr), Ginger Ikeda, Matsumoto Sensei, Mary Ann Katayama (Instr), <br />Laverne Daimaru, Jill Kitamura (Moilili Instr), Saito Sensei. <br /> <br />First time visit for some of the Mt. View seniors as they ventured to the City of Refuge, enjoyed a great <br />meal at the famous Manago Hotel and wandered the grounds of Amy Greenwell’s Ethnobotanical Gardens. <br /> <br />Great hula entertainment was shared by the Honaunau Senior Club during the Lei Day Program at the West <br />Hawai‘i Civic Center. <br /> <br />What better way to cool off, exercise and loose weight than by taking Carol Elliot’s Deep Water Aerobic <br />class held on Tuesdays and Thursdays at the Kona Community Pool. <br /> <br />After visiting the West Hawai‘i Civic Center, the Kona Regional Senior club driven by CSE driver <br />Terrance Terada had a picnic lunch under bright sunny skies at the Old Kona Airport. <br /> <br />Kupuna News 6 Information and Assistance (808) 961 -8777 <br />
