Three amigos <br />Our best wishes go out to Walter Fisher, center, who recently retired from the Coordinated <br />Services Program. Walter was our second Nutrition CSW in Ocean View, following <br />Zachary De Bernardi, on the left. <br /> <br />Zachary was a Senior Employee from 1986, and became the first Nutrition staff in Ocean View <br />in 1989, staying until Walter was hired in 1999 and then becoming our Nutrition Site President. <br />Dick Hershberger is our third, and current Nutrition CSW in Ocean View, providing “Aloha” from 2006. <br /> <br />Banzai! for Bonsai! <br />The Ocean View seniors were treated to a special tour of the Fuku-Bonsai Cultural Center in Kurtistown. <br /> <br />Here, owner David Fukumoto explains more about their specialty, dwarf Schefflera bonsai, which is <br />perfect for anyone who can grow houseplants! <br /> <br />From left are Lora Akase-Nagle, Carl Nelson, Lou Ramsey, Cynthia and Dallas Decker, Paulette and <br />Richard Zupancic, Don Kegans and Diane Nelson. <br /> <br />The Nā‘ālehu seniors were given a personal tour of the West Hawai‘i Civic Center by Deputy Managing <br />Director Walter Lau, including the County Council chambers!
