Senior Companion Program <br />The Senior Companion Program recently adjusted their income qualification for those <br />interested in joining this amazing program. If you are at least 55 years old, willing and <br />able to serve up to 20 hours a week providing companionship to seniors in need and <br />have an income of less than $25,080 a year (or $33,860 for a couple) this is the program <br />for you! If approved, you will receive an hourly stipend of $2.65 per hour, travel and meal <br />allowance, free annual physical, free training, free supplemental insurance and a <br />wonderful annual recognition celebration. <br /> <br />This years Senior Companion Recognition Luncheon will take place on April 27th. <br /> <br />If you are interested in getting involved in the Senior Companion Program please call CSE at 961-8777. <br /> <br />Suzanne Hull, Director, Senior Companion Program <br /> <br />LEGAL AID SOCIETY OF HAWAI`I <br />Legal Aid Society of Hawai‘i continues to offer FREE legal assistance to seniors needing help <br />with a wide variety of legal issues including Advanced Health Care Directives, Power of Attorneys <br />and Simple Wills. Families <br />providing care for their loved ones can use adult day care to allow for some often needed respite <br />time.
