• I would like to see structural improvements to downtown. <br />• The old town of Pahoa is still standing; a business in operation. <br />• I love the old Hawaiian ambiance. <br />• The ambiance, old look, really love it the way it is! <br />• She's old, but still looks pretty good. Pahoa still has charm, and <br />could hold on for some more decades, its buildings and main <br />roads are human scale, which has a comfortable and inviting feel; <br />this is part of why people like to go there. <br />• Diversity and earthy feel- not overdeveloped "aloha spirit" & <br />"breathe easy" attitude. <br />• Picturesque. I came here to get away from strip malls, fast food <br />and all the things we see happening now, 31 yrs. ago. <br />• I love the old sidewalks & buildings. <br />• I love that it has been preserved much as it was a century ago. <br />There is still that small town feel; the village life. <br />• Old fashion feeling, small, simple and it's all we have. <br />• Old plantation style downtown. <br />• 1 love the charm of Pahoa. It feels like a small community that is <br />open to all. <br />• Old wooden structures. I love this town, even if I'm not from <br />here. <br />• Sense of community. Historical significance. <br />• The community. Historical appearance ALOHA — county, multi <br />ethnicity, eclectic New Age. <br />• It is a unique town, just adorable. Old sugar town feel and look. <br />• The look of the old buildings, the boardwalk, the nostalgic <br />feeling of going back in time. I like that it is small. <br />• Old buildings, quirky atmosphere. <br />• I like Pahoa for its local feel, the quaint buildings downtown. <br />• I appreciate the boardwalk and old time feel of Pahoa Town. <br />• I've been on The Big Island for 30 years, so Pahoa is a nostalgic <br />place for me. <br />• It has a small town feeling with local color and people have <br />Aloha spirit. <br />• ( I love) The people and character.
