• I would like to see structural improvements to downtown. • The old town of Pahoa is still standing; a business in operation. • I love the old Hawaiian ambiance. • The ambiance, old look, really love it the way it is! • She's old, but still looks pretty good. Pahoa still has charm, and could hold on for some more decades, its buildings and main roads are human scale, which has a comfortable and inviting feel; this is part of why people like to go there. • Diversity and earthy feel- not overdeveloped "aloha spirit" & "breathe easy" attitude. • Picturesque. I came here to get away from strip malls, fast food and all the things we see happening now, 31 yrs. ago. • I love the old sidewalks & buildings. • I love that it has been preserved much as it was a century ago. There is still that small town feel; the village life. • Old fashion feeling, small, simple and it's all we have. • Old plantation style downtown. • 1 love the charm of Pahoa. Historical appearance ALOHA — county, multi ethnicity, eclectic New Age. • It is a unique town, just adorable. Old sugar town feel and look. • The look of the old buildings, the boardwalk, the nostalgic feeling of going back in time. I like that it is small. • Old buildings, quirky atmosphere. • I like Pahoa for its local feel, the quaint buildings downtown. • I appreciate the boardwalk and old time feel of Pahoa Town. • I've been on The Big Island for 30 years, so Pahoa is a nostalgic place for me. • It has a small town feeling with local color and people have Aloha spirit. • ( I love) The people and character. Paint those buildings and repair those roofs!!!!! • I like the old - school look and the feel of Pahoa Town. 11
