PCDP Goal, Objective & Action Items <br />3.2.3 c. Recommend reviewing the Urban <br />Expansion Area designations on the <br />County of Hawaiii General Plan LUPAG, <br />except where they correspond to the <br />recommended Regional Town Center and <br />industrial boundaries. <br />Progress Update <br />new Pahoa Village Signs article are near <br />completion. <br />o The PRTCP SC has initiated discussions <br />with landowners potentially affected by <br />the SC proposal to extend Post Office Rd. <br />from Pahoa Village Rd. to the new Pahoa <br />Park. <br />o The PRTCP SC and the AC have been <br />working with Bryson Kuwahara and his <br />consulting team to ensure that the B.T. <br />Kuwahara, LLC commercial development <br />project is consistent with the design <br />guidelines being proposed. <br />• Volcano Village: <br />o Draft revisions to the Volcano Long <br />Range Plan are being vetted within the <br />Volcano community by the Volcano <br />Community Association. <br />• Mountain View: <br />o Initial planning group meeting held on <br />August 30. <br />• KAPONO (Kalapana-Kapoho) <br />o Conducted several community -wide <br />meetings and a public input survey to <br />identify community issues and concerns <br />and determine level of interest in <br />establishing an AC recognized <br />community voice. <br />o Established web site at.www.kay)ono.or <br />o Mission statement and organization goals <br />presented at public meetings. <br />o Working groups formed to focus on main <br />topics identified via community input. <br />• The Planning Director initiated amendments <br />to LUPAG map were adopted by County <br />Council as ordinance No. 12 -59 on June S, <br />2012 and signed by Mayor Kenoi on June 27, <br />2012. <br />T 3.2.3 f. Provide land and infrastructure for • $3,259,000 for the acquisition of <br />farmer's markets within village /town approximately 3.75 acres in central Pahoa <br />centers. Town and the design and construction of <br />public roadway, parking and other facilities <br />I including a farmer's market. <br />9 <br />
