The purposes of such criteria are to: <br />a.protect participants from physical injury; <br />b.protect participants from emotional trauma; <br />c.provide for reasonable levels of participant compatibility; <br />d.maintain reasonable controls over the expenditure of public <br />funds; <br />e.maintain the objectives of the Department directed towards <br />increasing individual public participation in recreational <br />activity; and <br />f.eliminate where practicable the duplication of recreational <br />services provided by the Department with that of other public <br />or private agencies and organizations. <br />2. Eligibility criteria shall be available to the public for inspection at the <br />office of the Department of Parks and Recreation. <br />3. Persons or teams found to be in violation ofestablished eligibility <br />criteria may be: <br />a.subject to suspension from furtherparticipation in league <br />play; <br />b.cause for the forfeiture of all games played by the ineligible <br />person; and <br />c.subject to other appropriate administrative sanctions as may <br />be necessary to fulfill the objectives of Section 2 A (1)of <br />these rules. <br />B.Sports League Rules <br />1.The Director shall adopt such nationally recognized rules of each <br />sport as are necessary to achieve the objectives of the Department. <br />2.The Director may make such additions or modifications to such <br />nationally recognized rules as are necessary to achieve the <br />objectives of the Department. <br />4 <br /> <br />
