• <br />• <br />• <br />(e) <br />(f) <br />(g) <br />UseofExalos'ves (Chapter 376) - When the use of explosives is <br />necessary for the prosecution of the work, the Contractor shall <br />use the utmost care not to endanger life or property. The storage <br />and use of explosives shall be in strict accordance with the <br />provisions of Chapter 376 and Rule XVI of the State Department of <br />Labor and Industrial Relations and any amendments thereto. <br />Pre erence for Hawa&f. Products (Section 103-32, 103-41 through <br />103-48) - In order to comply with the intent of this law the <br />bidder must complete the form provided in the proposal which <br />lists all of the applicable Hawaii Products. <br />Preference for Ameria <br />cn Prd <br />oucts (Section 103-24) - It is the <br />intent of the Engineer that all products called for in the <br />bidding document be of American origin. However, this does <br />not preclude the use of foreign products. In the event a <br />bidder desires to utilize a foreign product, the same shall be <br />considered a substitution and subject to Subsection 6.2 <br />"SUBSTITUTION OF MATERIALS AND EQUIPMENT", of these specifications. <br />(h) Workmen's Corn ensati.on Insurance (Chapter 386) - All workmen <br />employed on the project shall be insured during the entire <br />duration of the contract in accordance with the provisions <br />of Chapter 386. <br />Tax Clearance (Section 103-53) - Final settlement of the contract <br />will not be made until the Engineer has received a tax clearance <br />from the Tax Department to the effect that all delinquent taxes <br />levied or accrued under State statute against the Contractor have <br />been paid. (Income Assessment and Audit Division and Taxation <br />Division). <br />(1) <br />(j) <br />Industri 1 Safet - The Contractor shall take safety precautions <br />and prosecute all work in accordance with Section 376-2 to <br />Section 376-10. The Contractor's attention is directed to the <br />"General Safety Code's prepared by the Department of Labor and <br />Industrial Relations which in addition to the above sections <br />of the statutes shall be complied with in all respect during <br />the -period of the contract. <br />(k) Listinr of Jo' nt Contr�r'tor and or Suhcontr c,�tors (Section 103-29, <br />and 103-33 - All bidders shall include the name and nature and <br />scope of work to be performed by each person or firm to be engaged <br />by the bidder as a joint contractor or subcontractor in the <br />performance of the contract. <br />Section 7 <br />Page 32 <br />
