change the amount of food or type of food to just be a little simpler. Maybe even
counter service instead of wait service and things like that. To be able to serve food or
at least pupus with the beverages would be great. If we could add lunch, that would
also help the success of the business. We do have a food truck if that helps, we could
utilize that out front on the part that we own. Hawaiian Homelands owns the lease on
the parking lot and they've said no to our being able to expand our wastewater system
under our parking lot that we lease there, and they said no to having our food truck
there. It's been a very challenging year.
Taniguchi: Anybody else?
There were no further questions from the Commissioners.
Taniguchi: Can we have a motion?
Nahale-a: Move to approve Application No. 17-22, if approved public hearing to be held
April 5, 2018, in Kailua-Kona.
Greenwell: Second.
Ms. Nahale-a moved to approve Application No. 17-22, Kohala Village
Hub Pub & Shop LLC, dba Hub Pub, pursuant to Rule 3-1-R(9) of the
Rules and Regulations of the Liquor Commission, under its Small
Craft Producer Pub liquor license, Category B2, requests to add a
second location to manufacture beer and wine, currently held by
Kawaihae Spirits, Inc., dba Blue Dragon, located at Kawaihae Village,
61-3616 Kawaihae Road, Kawaihae, Hawaii, TMK: 6-1-002:064 and
088, public hearing to be held April 5, 2018, in Kailua-Kona, Hawaii;
seconded by Mr. Greenwell.
Taniguchi: Moved and seconded by Mr. Greenwell. Any other discussion?
There was no other discussion from the Commissioners.
Taniguchi: Since none, all those in favor signify by saying, "Aye."
The Commissioners voted "Aye."
Taniguchi: Those opposed, "Nay."
There was no opposition by the Commissioners.
Taniguchi: Motion carried.
The motion was carried unanimously.
Nahale-a: Thank you.
Dorrance: Thank you so much for having us.
FEBRUARY 1, 2018 -LIQUOR COMMISSION MINUTES
17
