FRATINARDO: I should ask more specifically, to <br />7 attract the best and brightest minds in law coming out of <br />8 school, what do we have to do, as a County? <br />9 MR. DAMERVILLE: You're not -- to attract the best <br />10 and brightest, I think my daughters are the best and <br />11 brightest. They became lawyers not because they saw how hard <br />12 I worked. And I didn't lie to them and tell them I didn't <br />13 enjoy it. I enjoyed every minute of it. I love the practice <br />14 of law as a trial lawyer. <br />15 You're not going to be able to pay them what they <br />16 got. They got $160,000 a year to start. Okay. Now, that's <br />17 crazy. And I told them it's crazy. And I told the oldest <br />18 one, I don't care that you went to Harvard Law School, I <br />19 don't care that you were magnum cum laude, I don't care that <br />20 my younger one went to Boston University and was on Law <br />21 Review, you're not worth a hundred and -- a first-year <br />22 attorney is not worth $160,000 a year. <br />23 And their response was, Daddy, do you know <br />24 how hard we have to work?
