Page 10 <br />1 actually gets on the ballot in November, and it's <br />2 determinative of the voters to make a determination as <br />3 to whether or not they want to approve this proposed <br />4 amendment. So, at this point in the game, you guys <br />5 aren't required to do anything. This is just a <br />6 proposed amendment to the charter. The Charter <br />7 currently reads how it reads, and that's how we've been <br />8 operating under; and, you know, I think, going forward, <br />9 we have to abide by the current language of the <br />10 charter. <br />11 Now, in November, if the voters approve the <br />12 charter amendment, then those changes will come into <br />13 play, but there's no guarantees that will happen. So as <br />14 it stands right now, the operating objective is to <br />15 proceed as currently stated in the charter. <br />16 MR. PAVAO: Mr. Brilhante, I thoroughly <br />17 understand that. My concern is that if it does pass <br />18 and it becomes a charter amendment going forward, this <br />19 Salary Commission is going to be held to this clause <br />20 "detailed report," and there's no guidelines for what <br />21 is a detailed report. And it would be really nice if, <br />22 somehow, we can get some kind of guideline from whoever <br />23 wrote the bill to give us their intent of what a <br />24 detailed report is because we don't know. <br />25 MS.
