I just wanted to, <br />3 kind of, go through these things first because there's <br />4 going to be more changes. <br />5 So, if you look at the next page, subsection <br />6 (5), at the top of that page under "Special meetings," <br />7 this was in there because this language was identical <br />8 to what used to be in the charter under Section 13-4, <br />9 which applies to all boards and commissions that were <br />10 created by the charter, which this Commission was <br />11 created by the charter. So, they actually -- the last <br />12 charter commission that made changes or proposed <br />13 amendments to the charter took this out, and it passed <br />14 by the voters -- so the part that's struck out, upon <br />15 publication of notice such special meetings that you <br />16 have to publish in the newspaper, that's no longer in <br />17 the charter. So what I'm suggesting is just take that <br />18 portion out and just leave it as "Special meetings of <br />19 the Commission for the transaction of its business may <br />20 be held at any time and place as scheduled by the <br />21 Commission." <br />22 So you're no longer required to put it in the <br />23 newspaper. However, as you all know, we have a new <br />24 proposed amendment for the charter so that could <br />25 change, too.
