Should the liquor, take out comma, commission be increased from seven <br />to nine members, and should one member be a resident of each council district? Do I have a motion? <br />MARTIN: I thought we voted on it already. <br />YUEN: You voted on the language but this is the ballot question. <br />YOSHIYAMA: So moved. <br />HIGASHI: Second. <br />RAY: All in favor? <br />COMMISSIONERS: Aye. <br />RAY: Okay. Should a statement of purpose be added to the code of ethics? And 16. we need a vote on <br />this: Should a member of a board or commission with a district residency requirement be eligible to <br />serve out the full term, and represent the district to which the member was appointed, if redistricting <br />changes the boundaries so that the member no longer resides within the district? <br />MARTIN: That sounds pretty clear. <br />RAY: Do I have a motion? <br />MARTIN: Motion, So moved. <br />RAY: Second? <br />YOSHIYAMA: Second. <br />RAY: Discussion on that? All in favor? <br />COMMISSIONERS: Aye. <br />HERKES: Mr. Ray. <br />RAY: Yes ma’am. <br />HERKES: Can I suggest that Chris write an introductory paragraph to this ballot language that says ‘we <br />have made this as clear as possible and it is in a shortened version and the full text is available in the <br />Digest’ so that people will think before they vote on these.
