HAITSUKA: Let's move on to CA -11 in Communication 258. Do I have a motion to <br />adopt the proposed ballot language for CA -11? <br />Mr. Kaulukukui moved to adopt the proposed ballot <br />language for CA -11 as stated in Communication 258. <br />Seconded by Mr. Kealoha. <br />CHR. HAITSUKA: Is there any discussion? <br />MR. SHUMWAY: Mr. Chair, I think there is a missing word. It should say, "...to <br />possess..." and read, "...require the director of the department of environmental management <br />to possess and engineering degree...." I think it's a grammar thing. <br />Mr. Shumway moved to amend the language for <br />the ballot question to read, "Shall the charter of <br />the County of Hawaii be amended to require the <br />director of the department of environmental <br />management to possess an engineering degree <br />or a degree in a related field ?"
