c. Design Section <br /> The Design section plans, designs and prepares contractual plans <br /> and specifications for County-owned buildings. This section also • <br /> prepares documents for advertising and bidding and furnishes <br /> inspections for the construction of structures. House numbers <br /> are assigned by the section.. <br /> d. Repair and Maintenance Section <br /> The section is responsible for the maintenance of structures <br /> within the County system. The type of work performed by this <br /> section ranges from changing light bulbs to constructing new <br /> buildings. The section also assists the Department of Parks and <br /> Recreation when called upon. The section also carries out a <br /> repair and maintenance program on a continuous scheduled <br /> systematic basis. <br /> e. Code Enforcement Section <br /> All Codes, 'Ordinances and Statutes relating to building <br /> construction are enforced by this section. Other codes enforced <br /> by the division are sign code, no-smoking code and outdoor <br /> lighting code. <br /> • <br /> C. Engineering Division <br /> Activities: <br /> a. Administration and Land Acquisition. <br /> ( 1) Provides ` overall supervision, coordination, and <br /> • administration of the Division' s four sections: land <br /> surveying, design and investigation, construction <br /> inspection, and land acquisition. <br /> (2) Acquire all necessary land rights for County C . I .P. projects <br /> and other public purposes. <br /> (3) Research and determine County's ownership of road <br /> responsibilities. <br /> b. Land Survey <br /> ( 1 ) Conducts and furnishes land survey data and documents for <br /> C.I .P. projects. <br /> (2 ) Research and establish County right-of-way, involving <br /> boundary disputes. <br /> (3) Furnishes land survey documents for County lawsuits. <br /> • <br /> • <br /> -3- <br /> L <br />
