- Provide that the corporation counsel take office upon <br /> 411 appointment, rather than upon confirmation. (Amends Section 5- <br /> 2 . 6. ) <br /> - Provide more time for the county clerk to count and verify <br /> signatures on petitions to recall elected officials. (Amends <br /> Sections 12-1. 3 , 12-1. 4 , and 12-1.5. )_ <br /> -Prohibit a county officer or employee from appointing a <br /> son-in-law or daughter-in-law to a position. (Amends Section 13- <br /> 10 . ) <br /> -Increase the board of ethics from five to nine members. <br /> (Amends Section 14-5 . ) <br /> - Require that there be deputy finance director and deputy <br /> managing director. (Amends Sections 5-3 . 1 and 6-1. 1. ) <br /> ® ***************************************************************** <br /> Proposal ""9"" <br /> Proposal "9" would make a number of specific technical <br /> changes to the charter.
