The purpose of <br /> the conferences is to meet legal requirements that civil service administration <br /> be as uniform as practicable throughout the State of Hawaii. <br /> A public hearing. on proposed revisions to Personnel Rules and Regulations. <br /> was held and amendments were adopted. <br /> Civil Service Commission members and the districts they represent are as <br /> follows: <br /> Mr. Yoshimitsu Goya, Chairman, Kohala <br /> Mr. Anastacio Luis, Hilo <br /> Mr. Hiroshi Fujimoto, Honokaa <br /> Mr. Frank Miyamoto, Puna <br /> Mrs. Lillian P. Nahiwa, Hilo <br /> Mr. Donald Shintaku, Ka'u <br /> Mr. Fredrick Spencer, Kona <br /> Legislation: We received a voluminous number of personnel bills, analyzed <br /> or read all of them, and submitted or supported testimony favorable to our <br /> point of view on bills which were important to us. <br /> Incentive and Service Awards Program: <br /> Six non-supervisory and 3 supervisory employees were nominated as <br /> outstanding employees in their respective categories. Mr. Herbert Yamashita <br /> and Mrs. Evelyn Fujiwara were selected as the non-supervisory and supervisory <br /> employees of the year by the Mayor's Awards Committee. <br /> In the incentive awards program we received no suggestions nor recom <br /> mendations for incentive awards from the various departments during the last <br /> fiscal year. <br /> EDWARD .
