Report on Hawaii County Systematic Changes <br />for the Disability Community <br />Jessie Floyd of the Department of Developmental <br />Disability Council did a presentation for the <br />Committee. <br />3.Homeless Housing <br />Chair Shirachi was able to meet with some <br />providers that service the homeless and provided <br />some information brochures to the Committee. <br />Chair Shirachi is going to meet with the director <br />of HOPE Services Hawaii in the next 2 weeks and <br />will produce a report by the next meeting. <br />4.Parking Enforcement <br />Committee Member Punihaole and Committee <br />Member Tobosa had nothing to add to their <br />previous report on Parking enforcement. <br />3.Transporatation <br />Committee member Tobosa and Committee <br />Member Pratt were unable to attend the Mass <br />Transit open forum. However, Ms. Aranguiz was <br />able to provide the Committee with a lot of <br />information during her presentation. <br />g. Update on Recommendation Process with <br />Mayor Kim <br />Chair Shirachi informed the Committee that <br />whatever the Committee has collectively agreed <br />upon it does not need to come as a formal letter. <br />Based on what the Committee agrees on, Chair <br />Shirachi will relay it to Rose Bautista who will <br />then relay it to the Mayor. <br />h. Community Outreach -Booth Fees <br />Committee member Pratt talked about the AHA <br />(Able Hawaii Artists) festival. He felt that this <br />would be a great opportunity for Community <br />outreach. The event will be held on July 22"d and <br />booth fees are $10.00 for non-profit groups and <br />$25.00 for profit groups. <br />Tage 2 of 2 Hawai 'i County is an equal opportunity provider and employer <br />Committee member DeLima <br />made a motion to approve the <br />booth fees for both the Hilo and <br />Kona art festival, Committee <br />member Gonzales seconds.
