• Several funding requests were made and Hawaii County was only <br />County that was awarded funding to support future events <br />• Request was made to pay vendors directly, early on, as we plan <br />in early stages for CSW projects. HCCSW will pay direct to <br />vendors <br />• Dr. Kealoha Fox researched and presented Haumana from Office <br />of Hawaiian Affairs- looking at mental health, physical, <br />motherhood, intimate partner, civic engagement, what's <br />happening with native Hawaiian female populations and how to <br />mitigate the challenges. Focus is on host culture and how we can <br />help native Hawaiians <br />• April — equal pay, sexual violence day, denim day, tropic care <br />(military exercise — free medical, dental, vision, care offered by <br />military June 18— 28, 2018. <br />• Saturday Kea'au High School community event to give <br />information <br />• Pride parade and festival is June 30, 2018 at Mo'oheau Band <br />Stand <br />• Women's Health month is September 2018 so advise Cyd if there <br />is interest in hosting a project for Women's Health month. Holly <br />Algood, consulted with Planned parenthood international and PP <br />in Connecticut, she lives in Hawi and has her LLC in <br />organizational effectiveness <br />• Hawaii Women's Coalition — Bills pending Governor's action; full <br />picture of Legislative landscape will be available after July 10, <br />2018 <br />OLD BUSINESS <br />A. Teen Dating Violence <br />• Updated new cell phone safety cards distributed to CSW <br />• UH Women's Center printed 5000 cards for $374.30; will be <br />added as "in-kind" <br />• Committee thanked Farrah and the UH Women's Center that <br />printed 85 Real Women Essay Contest Winner's Booklets for <br />$714 donated by UH Women's Center, these contributions will be <br />added as in kind <br />• Eddie Cash, Domestic Violence Awareness Committee, Mei Lee, <br />President; Fiscal project sponsored by Friends of the Future <br />reached out to Brooke to partner with CSW <br />• Farrah will distribute cards <br />• In-kind will be itemized for cell phone safety cards <br />B.
