ONO: And, if I'm not mistaken, Water <br />6 Safety falls under that, too. <br />7 MR. BECKER: I think the way it is here, it <br />8 gives a lot more flexibility because you've got, you <br />9 know, firefighters who have those skills as paramedics <br />10 and EMTs. It's a requirement here that all <br />11 firefighters at all levels be at least at Emergency <br />12 Medical Technician level. And the number of paramedics <br />13 here is quite high. So a lot of them, you know, cycle <br />14 through the paramedic program and then promote at some <br />15 point in their career. <br />16 MR. PAVAO: Is there a relationship in the <br />17 department between the EMS and the EMR? <br />18 MR. BECKER: Between the private ambulance <br />19 service -- <br />20 MR. PAVAO: Yeah. Is there -- <br />21 MR. BECKER: Yeah, I'm sure they communicate <br />22 and work together, yeah, because it's mostly advanced <br />23 life support versus basic life support. <br />24 MR.
