Page 23 <br />1 head, I used to tell the EM guys, "I wish I were an <br />2 EM." And I did get my wish after a while. I became an <br />3 EM, and then I went back to an appointed official. <br />4 But, yeah, when I was appointed, we just <br />5 take -- you know, report in whenever you have to, even <br />6 emergency meetings, as part of the job. You take it <br />7 with that knowledge that you are the head of the <br />8 department and so is your deputy. And I'll tell you <br />9 what. It's fun working in Civil Defense because it's <br />10 really freelance -- and I always comment that -- hey, I <br />11 really enjoyed going up there because you have a team <br />12 of people working collaboratively, very <br />13 collaboratively, helping each other out. Even as far <br />14 as the working staff working out in the field, <br />15 responding to calls from the public, you almost have a <br />16 different employee come out of them. I mean, these are <br />17 people that are usually doing maintenance work out <br />18 there and accused of too many people standing around <br />19 watching one people working, but there's a different <br />20 person that comes out during an emergency. So, it is a <br />21 lot of fun. And they feed you good, too. <br />22 So, with that, I totally agree with Bill. <br />23 Any other comment, Tom? <br />24 MR. FRATINARDO: No. <br />25 MR.
