This grant will be federally funded through a Victim of <br />Crime Act (VOLA) grant received by the Office of the Prosecuting Attorney. The <br />YWCA will provide Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner (SANE) exams, and therapeutic <br />support to victims of sexual assault. <br />Enclosed is a resolution authorizing the Office of the Prosecuting Attorney to provide <br />$50,000 to the YWCA, pursuant to Hawaii County Code (2005 Edition as amended) <br />Chapter 2, Article 25, Section 2-139(a)(3)(A). <br />The Office of the Prosecuting .Attorney requests that this resolution be waived from the <br />Finance Committee and be placed on the October 7, 2020 Council agenda, and to waive <br />Council's five-day hold -for -reconsideration in order to expedite this transaction.
