Hunt <br />Deputy Director <br />The County of Hawaii has been awarded $163,092 in federally derived funds from the State of <br />Hawaii Department of the Attorney General. These funds will be used to prepare for, prevent <br />the spread of and respond to the coronavirus pandemic. <br />Enclosed is a resolution to enter into an agreement to accept these funds. Also enclosed is a bill <br />for an ordinance amending the Operating Budget by appropriating this $163,092 grant. The <br />Office of the Prosecuting Attorney requests that a breach be authorized to submit this bill after <br />the, October 28, 2020 submission deadline, and to waive it from the Finance Committee in order <br />to be placed on the November 18, 2020 Council agenda to expedite the receipt of these funds.
