No. 163-21 PLACE: Council Chambers Kailua-Kona, Hawaii TIME: 3:15 p.m. Council Chair and Members Hawaii County Council Hilo, Hawaii 96720 Your Committee on Finance,to which was referred Resolution No. 163-21,reports as follows: Resolution No. 163-21, transmitted by Director of Finance Deanna S. Sako, via Communication No. 321 dated July 1, 2021, authorizes the payment of funds of a later fiscal year and of more than one fiscal year for a multi-year lease for one copy machine for the Planning Department. I This resolution authorizes the Mayor to enter into a five-year lease agreement with an approximate monthly cost of$189.71, and would be used by the department's Disaster Recovery team. A motion to amend Res.No. 163-21 with the contents of Comm. No. 321.1, dated July 12,2021, was made by Committee Member Susan L.K. Lee Loy, and seconded by Committee Member H61eka Goro Inaba. Said amendment corrects the term of the lease agreement from five years to two years. There was no discussion on the matter. Pursuant to Section 10-11, Hawaii County Charter, any contract, lease, or other obligation requiring the payment of funds from the appropriations of a later fiscal year shall be made or approved by resolution by the County Council. Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the purpose and intent of Resolution No. 163-21, as amended to Draft 2, and recommends its adoption.
