The purpose of this grant is to deliver trainings from <br />local historians, cultural practitioners, and other resources to AmeriCorps Volunteers in <br />Service to America (VISTAS) to ensure their thorough understanding of the communities <br />they serve. <br />Enclosed is a resolution to enter into an agreement to accept these funds. Also enclosed <br />is a bill for an ordinance amending the Operating Budget by appropriating this $50,000. <br />If there are any questions, please do not hesitate to call Douglass Adams of the <br />Department of Research and Development at 961-8366. <br />Deanna S.
