The purpose of this ordinance is to promote vehicular access and <br /> pedestrian safety on a narrow section of roadway. <br /> SECTION 2. Chapter 24, article 10, division 5, section 24-279, schedule 27, entitled <br /> "Parking on pavement prohibited at all times," subsection(e) Kohala, of the Hawai`i County <br /> Code 1983 (2016 Edition, as amended), is amended by adding new listings to be appropriately <br /> inserted and to read as follows: <br /> • Opelo Road, east side, from a point fifty feet north of Kawaihae Road and extending one <br /> hundred ninety-two feet in the northerly direction. <br /> • Opelo Road, east side, from a point four hundred thirteen feet north of Kawaihae Road <br /> and extending twenty-two feet in the northerly direction. <br /> • Opelo Road, east side, from a point four hundred ninety-two feet north of Kawaihae Road <br /> and extending one hundred eight feet in the northerly direction. <br /> • Opelo Road, west side, from a point one hundred fifteen feet north of Kawaihae Road <br /> and extending one hundred and seven feet in the northerly direction. <br /> • Opelo Road, west side, from a point four hundred fifty-two feet north of Kawaihae Road <br /> and extending forty feet in the northerly direction. <br />
