COUNTY OF HAWAII <br />RESOLUTION NO. <br />STATE OF HAWAII <br />1 57 25 <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO A MULTI <br />YEAR AGREEMENT TO IMPLEMENT ELECTRONIC CITATIONS IN <br />HAWAVI • <br />WHEREAS, Section 10-11 of the County Charter requires that any contract, <br />lease or other obligation requiring payment of funds from the appropriations of a later <br />fiscal year or of more than one fiscal year be approved by resolution; and <br />WHEREAS, the County of Hawaii Police Department desires to enter into a <br />multi -year agreement for five (5) years to implement electronic citations in Hawaii <br />County; and <br />WHEREAS, this agreement will consist of electronic citation licenses, associated <br />equipment and maintenance to implement the program; and <br />WHEREAS, electronic citations are a modern solution designed to streamline the <br />process of issuing citations, offering increased efficiency and potential cost savings; <br />now, therefore, <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII: <br />1. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into a five (5) year agreement, <br />for the purpose as described above for the Police Department. <br />2. That sufficient funds be budgeted in future fiscal years to cover the <br />anticipated obligations of the County under the terms of the agreement. <br />
