The need for drafting services for the Department of Parks <br /> and Recreation has grown tremendously due to the continued aging and deterioration of its sites <br /> and facilities. In the past, these drafting services were performed by the Department of Public <br /> Works, but more recently, they have not been able to provide any assistance to the Department of <br /> Parks and Recreation. Having its own Architectural Drafting Technician I position will enable the <br /> Department of Parks and Recreation to accomplish much of the necessary drafting services that <br /> is needed and will allow them to maintain a current data set of site plans and floor plans of its <br /> sites and facilities. <br /> The funding for this new position is derived from the General Fund's Fund Balance.
