The Department of Agriculture, which had previously given <br /> some of its funding to the County to purchase citric acid anhydrous, now proposes to enter into another <br /> contract with the County of Hawaii and provide $125,000 to administer acost-sharing program to assist <br /> qualified nurseries and landscape companies on the Island of Hawaii to finance the construction of hot <br /> water treatment facilities for the treatment of plants and plant parts for coqui frog disinfestation. <br /> Enclosed is a resolution to authorize the Mayor to enter into an agreement with the State of Hawaii <br /> Department of Agriculture. <br /> Also enclosed is a bill for an ordinance amending the Operating Budget by appropriating the $125,000 to <br /> the Coqui Frog Cost-Sharing Program account. <br /> If there are any questions, please do not hesitate to call the Office of Management. <br /> William Takaba <br /> Director of Finance <br /> APPROVED: <br /> Harry Kim <br /> Mayor <br /> Comm.
