Yamashiro, dated <br /> December 10, 1996, submitting for confirmation the <br /> following reappointment to the Hawaii County Tax Board <br /> of Review (reappointment to this specific entity is <br /> permitted as described in the attached opinion): <br /> Mrs. Mahina T. Maxey, of Volcano and a <br /> life-time resident of Hawaii who, since <br /> 1985, has been an owner/manager of a bed and <br /> breakfast business. She is a Democrat. <br /> If confirmed, Mrs. Maxey will serve a term <br /> which will end on December 31, 2001. <br /> <br /> Comm. 29: APPOINTMENT TO THE POLICE COMMISSION - CLARENCE MILLS <br /> From Mayor Stephen K. Yamashiro, dated <br /> December 10, 1996, submitting for confirmation the <br /> following appointment to the Hawaii County Police <br /> Commission: <br /> Mr. Clarence Mills, of Kamuela and a <br /> life-time resident of Hawaii who, since <br /> 1966, has been with the State of Hawaii <br /> Department of Education and is currently <br /> the Deputy District Superintendent. He is a <br /> registered Democrat. <br /> If confirmed, Mr. Mills will replace <br /> Wray T. Straus, whose term will expire on <br /> December 31, 1996, and will serve a term <br /> which ends on December 31, 2001. <br /> <br />
