No. 698 /Res. 300 -10 <br />Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Resolution No. 300 -10, reports as follows: <br />Resolution No. 300 -10, transmitted jointly with Bill 205, by Director of Finance Nancy Crawford, <br />via Communication No. 698 dated February 3, 2010, authorizes the Office of the Mayor to enter into <br />an agreement with the State of Hawai`i Department of the Attorney General, Crime Prevention & Justice <br />Assistance Division to receive Federal grant funds for the Next Generation (NG) Juvenile Justice <br />Information System (JJIS) Data Broker Project. <br />The County of Hawai`i has been selected as a pilot site to implement a computer system interface to <br />electronically forward juvenile arrest data from the Hawaii Police Department's Records Management <br />System (RMS) to the Prosecuting Attorney's Hawai`i Island Tracking System (HITS). This will <br />eliminate double entry of information and improve efficiency. The JJIS serves as a data repository for <br />juvenile offender information for the Sate of Hawai`i.
