The State of
Hawai'i Department of the Attorney General is providing $25,000, derived from Federal
funds, to implement this Next Generation (NG) JJIS Data Broker Project. The Juvenile
Justice Information System (JJIS) serves as a data repository for juvenile offender
information for the State of Hawai'i. The interface, which will electronically transfer
juvenile arrest data between the systems, will eliminate double entry of information and will
improve efficiency.
Enclosed is a resolution to authorize the Mayor to enter into an agreement with the State
of Hawaii Department of the Attorney General.
Also enclosed is a bill for an ordinance amending the Operating Budget by appropriating
this $25,000 grant.
If there are any questions, please do not hesitate to call the Office of the Prosecuting
Attorney.
Comm.
