No. 104-11 <br /> PLACE: Council Chambers <br /> Kona, Hawai`i <br /> TIME: 1:35 p.m. <br /> Council Chair and Members <br /> Hawaii County Council <br /> Hilo, Hawaii 96720 <br /> Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Resolution No. 104-11, reports as follows: <br /> Resolution No. 104-11, transmitted by Finance Director Nancy Crawford via Communication <br /> No. 267, dated July 5, 2011, amends Resolution 56-11, which authorized the payment of funds <br /> for more than one fiscal yea, for a new multi-year lease agreement, for one (1) copier for the <br /> Department of Human Resources. <br /> Resolution 56-11 limited both the monthly amount and the per-page amount for excess pages <br /> that could be paid under the lease agreement. With Council's authorization, the Purchasing <br /> Division proceeded with competitive procurement. The resulting low bid includes per-page <br /> amounts above that identified in the resolution by $0.0005 for black and white and $0.003 for <br /> color. The department's request is to increase the referenced amounts to match the bid amount <br /> in this proposed resolution. <br /> Director of Finance Nancy Crawford appeared before Your Committee. Ms. Crawford provided <br /> Council Committee members an explanation of this amendment. The specific amount requested <br /> on the original resolution Res. 56-11 is lower than the lowest bid received.
