No. 877/Bill No. 320 <br /> PLACE: Council Chambers <br /> Hilo, Hawai`i <br /> TIME: 10:45 a.m. <br /> Council Chair and Members <br /> Hawai`i County Council <br /> Hilo, Hawai`i 96720 <br /> Your Committee on Public Works and Parks and Recreation, to which was referred Bill No. 320, <br /> reports as follows: <br /> Bill No. 320, transmitted by Public Works Director Warren H. W. Lee via Communication <br /> No. 877, dated September 26, 2012, amends Chapter 24, Article 10, Division 5, Section 24-280 <br /> of the Hawai`i County Code 1983 (2005 Edition, as amended), relating to Parking. <br /> Bill No. 320 specifically amends Schedule 28 (no parking at anytime), subsection (c), South <br /> Hilo, by adding: <br /> "Waianuenue Avenue, north (Hamakua side), from Kaumana Drive to Rainbow Drive." <br /> Councilmember Ikeda informed Committee Members that establishing this no parking at <br /> anytime area addresses public safety issues due to individuals parking along the roadside to <br /> watch ball games at Carvalho Park, and that a new parking area was recently completed to <br /> accommodate more cars.
