The department is <br /> responsible for providing staff to manage lands acquired and to minimize use of <br /> outside agents. This position will be the department liaison to the Commission. <br /> Additionally, the Property Manager will coordinate activity related to easements, <br /> encroachments, acquisition and disposal of other County properties. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> 2. Can new duties be assigned to existing positions or handled in other way such as <br /> short term contracts, etc. <br /> <br /> The Council ordinance specifically stated that staff should be provided in order to <br /> minimize the use of outside agents. There is no existing staff with the time to <br /> dedicate to these important management duties. Staff also lacks the training and <br /> experience required to negotiate sales and leases, and manage real property. <br />
