We have <br /> SRF loan funds available from the Alii Drive Sewer Projects and would like to utilize these <br /> funds to further extend the sewer to either or both of the above projects. Both of these areas were <br /> planned to ultimate]y be connected to the sewer and the Alii Sewer was designed to handle this <br /> flow. Additionally, as part of the grant conditions for the Kealakehe Wastewater Treatment <br /> Plant, the County is required to meet 75% of the design flow for the treatment plant. At our <br /> current flowrate of approximately 1.0 mgd, we are meeting only 36°/n of the 2.8 mgd design <br /> capacity. It is unclear at this time if the connection of Alii Drive alone will allow us to meet the <br /> 75% requirement. <br /> Under separate cover, we are transmitting the proposed resolution to the Public Works <br /> Committee Chair for introduction. We ask for your review and consideration for adoption of the <br /> subject resplutions.
